BEST TIME TO VISIT

    • Overall Best Window (Jan – March): This period gives the absolute best balance of peak wildlife sightings and maximum migratory bird diversity across all parks.

    • November – December (Early Season): Parks reopen with fresh green landscapes. Great for early migratory birds arriving in the wetlands.

    • December – February (Peak Dibru-Saikhowa): The ideal time to track the wild Feral Horses on the river islands, as the grass is shorter and visibility is perfect.

    • Months to Avoid (May – October): Heavy monsoon floods hit Assam. Most parks remain closed to visitors for safety.

Payment Policy:

Secure your trail with a 25% deposit. 50% is due 4 months prior to the trip, and the remaining 25% must be cleared 1 month before departure.

6 months before: 25% fee. 4 months before: 45% fee. Within 1 month: No refund. Note: In case of natural calamities, payments will be adjusted toward a future tour.

Assam’s winter and spring months offer a very pleasant daytime climate (15°C–25°C), making wildlife viewing highly comfortable. However, early morning open-top jeep and river boat safaris can be surprisingly chilly due to dense mist and wind chill, so dressing in layers is essential. Pack neutral, earth-toned clothing along with a thick windproof jacket and warm beanie that you can easily shed as the sun warms the grasslands. Don’t forget a buff or mask for dusty jeep trails, a quality pair of binoculars, and a 400mm to 600mm telephoto lens to capture everything from deep-forest hornbills to distant rhinos.
